Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the ArmorDex mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

The App is operated by Luano Technologies (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in South Africa.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use ArmorDex. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to firearm ownership, licensing, and registration laws.

3. Description of Service

ArmorDex is a firearm asset management application that allows users to:

• Track and manage their firearm collection
• Record ammunition inventory and reload data
• Log shooting sessions and ballistic data
• Generate compliance documents and reports
• Store and sync data securely across devices

ArmorDex is a record-keeping tool only. It does not facilitate the purchase, sale, transfer, or trading of firearms or ammunition.

4. Account Registration

To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
• Promptly update your information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your encryption password. Due to our end-to-end encryption architecture, we cannot recover your data if you lose your password.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

ArmorDex offers free and premium subscription tiers:

• Free Tier: Basic features with limited capacity
• Premium Monthly: Full access, billed monthly
• Premium Annual: Full access, billed annually at a discounted rate

Subscriptions are processed through Google Play Store or Apple App Store. By subscribing, you agree to the respective platform's payment terms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Refunds are handled according to the policies of Google Play or Apple App Store. We do not process payments directly.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use ArmorDex only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose or to facilitate illegal activity
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Distribute, sublicense, or resell the App or any part thereof
• Use the App to store or transmit malicious code
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App

7. Data Ownership & Encryption

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into ArmorDex. We do not claim any rights to your content.

Your data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption with a key derived from your password. This means:

• We cannot access, view, or modify your encrypted data
• We cannot comply with requests to disclose your encrypted data, as we are technically unable to decrypt it
• You are solely responsible for maintaining access to your encryption credentials

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is the property of Luano Technologies (Pty) Ltd and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

ArmorDex is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Results obtained from the App will be accurate or reliable
• Any ballistic calculations or data are suitable for safety-critical decisions

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Luano Technologies (Pty) Ltd and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Luano Technologies (Pty) Ltd from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and providing notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
